IRISH TAKEOVER PANEL

The Irish Takeover Panel is the statutory authority charged with monitoring and supervising takeovers and other relevant transactions involving Irish companies. Established under the Irish Takeover Panel Act 1997 (as amended) and recognised as the competent authority for the EU Directive on Takeover Bids, the Panel ensures that all such dealings adhere to the principles set out in the Act's schedule.

Its core services include the development and enforcement of Takeover Rules, the provision of standardised disclosure forms for parties to report dealings during an offer period, and the maintenance of a publicly-accessible Disclosure Table that details companies currently in an offer period. The Panel also publishes timely announcements on rule changes, public consultations and significant market events, helping market participants stay informed and compliant.
