Company Description
National Parents Council - Primary (NPC-Primary) is the sole representative body for parents of children in Irish primary schools. Acting as a collective voice, the council engages with the Department of Education & Skills, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment and other national bodies to ensure parents' perspectives are heard at policy level.
The organisation offers a wide range of support services, including a dedicated helpline for advice and information, regular webinars and online training sessions on topics such as home learning, mental health and parental engagement, and a suite of resources tailored to the early years, primary and post-primary sectors. NPC-Primary also runs the Partnership Schools Ireland programme, the NPC Innovation Award, and provides specialist guidance on special education through conferences and video resources.
Through its news-feed, noticeboard and mailing list, the council keeps families up-to-date with the latest research, consultations and events affecting Irish education. By joining NPC-Primary, parents' associations gain representation, training and a platform to shape the future of primary schooling across the country.
