South Westmeath Hospice Foundation Company Limited By Guarantee is a charitable organisation founded in 1994 to deliver compassionate palliative and hospice care to patients, families and staff at St Vincent's Hospital in Athlone. Through its Home Care team the foundation extends support to people living with life-threatening illnesses across Athlone, Moate, Glasson, Castledaly, Tang, Ballymore, Ballinahown, Mount Temple, Monksland, South Roscommon and the surrounding communities, ensuring that care is available wherever it is needed.

The foundation's core services include hospice care, which focuses on quality of life for those with incurable conditions, and holistic palliative care that aims to prevent and relieve suffering.
