IRISH PHARMACEUTICAL HEALTHCARE ASSOCIATION

The Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA) is the voice of the innovators behind prescription medicines and vaccines, championing the role of these therapies in preventing, treating and, where possible, curing disease. By representing the inventors of life-extending treatments, IPHA works to ensure that the benefits of cutting-edge healthcare reach patients across Ireland.

IPHA's activities are organised around four strategic priorities. Access focuses on optimising the availability of innovative medicines and vaccines; Codes builds trust through robust industry standards; Innovation raises stakeholder understanding via information campaigns and support for clinical trials; and Investment highlights the positive impact of the sector's financial commitment to the Irish economy. In addition, the association runs Medicines.ie - a regulator-approved, searchable database of medicines information widely used by healthcare professionals and the Department of Health - and oversees the transparent disclosure of Transfers of Value to healthcare professionals and organisations. Its Forum series provides a public-facing platform for scientific dialogue, bringing expert perspectives to the wider community. Through these initiatives, IPHA serves the interests of both the biopharmaceutical industry and the patients who rely on its breakthroughs.
