M.O.V.E. IRELAND

M.O.V.E. Ireland (Men Overcoming Violence) is a national organisation dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic abuse by working directly with men who have used or are at risk of using violence in intimate relationships. Through its flagship Choices Programme, participants join weekly group sessions that encourage them to take responsibility for their behaviour, understand its impact on partners and children, and develop the skills needed for non-abusive living. Individual counselling is woven throughout the programme, offering personalised support at the start, during, and after the group work.

The service is delivered via a network of regional coordinators, with in-person groups running in Cork, Limerick, Galway, Louth, Meath and Dublin, and online options available for counties such as Clare, Kerry, Mayo, Sligo and others. This structure ensures that men and their families across the Republic of Ireland can access timely, confidential assistance. By fostering accountability and providing practical tools for change, M.O.V.E. Ireland aims to enhance the safety and wellbeing of women and children while helping participants rebuild healthier relationships.
