INEX - the Internet Neutral Exchange Association - is the island-wide peering point that enables Irish internet service providers, content providers and enterprises to exchange traffic directly, improving speed, reliability and cost-efficiency. Key offerings include a robust peering platform with 8.9 Tb of connected capacity and peak traffic of 1.3 Tb recorded in 2025, alongside reduced port charges for 2026 that lower costs while preserving performance. INEX also developed IXP Manager, now the world's most trusted exchange-point software, powering peering at more than 257 IXPs globally. The association further supports innovation through events such as the members-only Eolas 2026 workshop at the Walton Quantum Facility, linking the peering community with Ireland's quantum communications research.
