Company Description
Wexford Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Services Designated Activity Company - known as Wexford Rape Crisis - is a confidential, not-for-profit organisation that provides specialist counselling and support to anyone affected by domestic, sexual or gender-based violence. Drawing on a team of trained therapists, the service offers one-to-one counselling for adults and for young people aged 12 years and upwards, covering issues such as rape, sexual assault, harassment, historical child-sexual abuse, coercive control, online grooming, stalking and sexting.
In addition to individual therapy, the charity runs a range of complementary programmes: a Consent & Sexual Violence Prevention curriculum delivered in secondary schools across Co. Wexford, a Sexual Assault Treatment Unit, parental support for families of survivors, and accompaniment for clients attending Garda or court appointments. A dedicated "Supporters of Survivors" service also provides guidance for partners, relatives and friends who are supporting a survivor.
Based in Wexford, the organisation extends its reach to Enniscorthy, Gorey and New Ross, ensuring that survivors throughout the county have access to timely, compassionate care. Services operate on a sliding-scale fee, with no one denied support for inability to pay.
