Independent Studio Artists Ltd is a long-standing collective of working artists based in the heart of Dublin's Temple Bar. Founded in 1982 as "Studio 16", the organisation now operates two historic, 250-year-old buildings that have been lovingly restored to provide affordable, purpose-built studio space for a vibrant community of ten resident artists.

The studio offers low-cost, flexible residencies typically ranging from one to three years, giving emerging and established creators a supportive environment to develop their practice. Over four decades, more than 60 artists have benefited from the programme, and the studios regularly open their doors to the public through events and open days, fostering dialogue between artists and the wider community. Governance is provided by a board comprising artists, curators and external professionals, ensuring that the space remains responsive to artistic needs while maintaining a high standard of stewardship.
