WICKLOW TRAVELLERS GROUP COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Wicklow Travellers Group (WTG) is a voluntary community-development organisation founded in 1992 to champion the rights and wellbeing of Travellers in County Wicklow. Comprised of Travellers and members of the wider community, the group works on the principles of empowerment, self-determination, participation, solidarity and collective action.

WTG's core activities focus on securing safe, appropriate accommodation for Traveller families, advocating for fair access to health services, and creating opportunities for education and training - notably through programmes for Traveller women. The organisation also runs the C.E.A.R.T. Crinion Park community centre, delivers regular updates on its work, and engages the public with initiatives such as a Traveller-pride event, a knowledge quiz and an English-to-Cant translator.

Through court-based support, health-improvement projects and collaborative networking, Wicklow Travellers Group strives to improve outcomes for the Traveller community while fostering stronger ties with the majority population across the region.
