Based in Ardnacrusha, Co. Clare, the company began by excavating shale on its 57-acre site and has since expanded to offer a full suite of concrete-related products and services.

The core offering includes ready-mix concrete and Cemfloor, both produced with Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag (GGBS) - a recycled by-product of iron production that enhances durability while reducing environmental impact. O'Connell Quarries also provides a wide range of aggregates, from drainage stone and certified building material to sand and high-PSV chippings, catering to both commercial and domestic projects. In addition, the firm runs a construction-demolition (CD) recycling service, helping to manage the substantial waste generated by building, roadwork and site-clearing activities.
