The Irish Association for Cancer Research (IACR) is an all-Ireland non-profit organisation that unites cancer researchers from every discipline with a single purpose: to improve patient survival through better prevention, earlier diagnosis and the development of new, optimised treatments. By fostering collaboration across research centres and encouraging the exchange of ideas, IACR works to raise the profile of cancer research in Ireland and create a world-class environment that benefits the public.

IACR delivers a range of specialist programmes for its members, including an annual conference that brings together leading scientists and clinicians, and joint-funding scholarships in partnership with Breakthrough Cancer Research and the Irish Cancer Society to support PhD candidates. Membership offers full affiliation with the European Association for Cancer Research, giving Irish researchers access to a broader European network and additional resources. All donations are directed straight to early-stage oncology scientists, ensuring that funding has an immediate impact on research progress.
