Saol Project Company Limited by Guarantee is a pioneering Irish organisation that has spent the past three decades championing evidence-based, gender-responsive practice for women whose lives are shaped by the intersecting challenges of substance use, homelessness, poverty, violence, mothering and marginalisation. Drawing on a strong feminist ethos, Saol works to dismantle stigma and promote recovery through integrated, trauma-informed approaches that respect the complexity of each woman's story.

A key part of Saol's work is the delivery of specialist learning and networking events, most recently the "Messy: The Intersectional Lives of Women Who Use Drugs and Alcohol" conference. This gathering brings together leading practitioners and researchers from Ireland, the UK and Spain to share innovative practice, reflect on the limits of siloed interventions, and explore pathways to dignity and independence for "messy women". The organisation also offers a range of resources, volunteer opportunities and collaborative projects, all aimed at empowering women and advancing inclusive social-care practice across Ireland.
