Mayfield Integrated Community Development Project Company Limited By Guarantee runs Mayfield CTC, a Community Training Centre situated in the heart of Mayfield. The centre delivers friendly, informal training, education and employment-related services to young people in Cork aged 16-21, with a particular focus on early school leavers and the unwaged.

Learners can work towards a nationally recognised certification - equivalent to the Leaving Certificate - over a two-year, self-paced programme. Mayfield CTC offers six core pathways - Office Skills, Culinary, Construction, Sports & Recreation, Hospitality and Woodwork - complemented by additional classes in Communications, Personal Effectiveness, Maths, IT, Art and specialist modules such as coding, animation and music. A dedicated advocate provides one-to-one career guidance, work-experience placements and support in accessing grants and employment opportunities. Weekly training allowances of €45 (under-18) or €244 (18-21) are available for eligible participants receiving a Department of Social Protection payment.

Applications are accepted year-round, with continuous intake to suit each learner's unique journey. Mayfield CTC is committed to empowering Cork's youth with the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to succeed.
