Donegal Local Development CLG is a community-driven organisation that has been supporting individuals, groups and rural enterprises across County Donegal for more than 25 years. Established in 1995 and governed by a voluntary board of representatives from local voluntary groups, social partners, local government and state bodies, DLDC delivers a wide range of social-inclusion, training and development programmes funded by the Irish Government, the Department of Rural and Community Development, the Gaeltacht and the European Social Fund Plus.

The charity's core services include individual supports such as employment and work-placement assistance, health and wellbeing programmes, education, parenting and rural-development advice, as well as community supports covering group-committee training, governance, funding access, social-enterprise development and volunteer coordination. These are delivered through specialist initiatives like the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP), the LEADER rural-development scheme, the PEACEPLUS Food Equality Initiative, Lifelong Learning and Personal Development supports, Individual Placement Support for mental-health challenges, and the Sláintecare Healthy Communities programme.

Through its Jobs Board, grant schemes - including the Social Inclusion Activity & Transport Grant - and a clear three-year strategic plan (2023-2025), DLDC helps Donegal's residents and organisations turn ideas into sustainable projects, fostering stronger, healthier and more resilient communities throughout the county.
