Community Workers Company Limited by Guarantee, trading as Community Work Ireland, is the national voice for community-based practice across the island. As a charitable organisation with more than 1,000 individual and organisational members, CWI champions independent, autonomous community work by influencing policy, shaping programmes and building the structures that enable social change, equality and human-rights outcomes.

The organisation delivers a suite of services designed to strengthen practice: it runs networking events, training sessions and capacity-building workshops; it hosts a range of working groups - such as the Climate Justice Working Group and the Community Development Mental Health Network - that provide collaborative spaces for practitioners. CWI also curates and publishes research, policy submissions and toolkits, offering members up-to-date resources on issues from climate justice to gender equality.

Supported by the Scheme to Support National Organisations and funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Community Work Ireland works with partners across sectors to advance justice and sustainability for communities throughout Ireland.
