Farney Community Development Group CLG is a not-for-profit organisation that manages the historic Carrickmacross Workhouse on behalf of Monaghan County Council. Based in County Monaghan, the group has transformed the 1840s Poorhouse into a vibrant visitor and community centre, offering the public an immersive insight into Ireland's Great Famine and emigration history.

The centre provides regular guided tours at 11.30 am and 2.30 pm from Monday to Friday, with additional appointments available on weekends and bank holidays for groups of ten or more. Visitors can explore original features such as the children's dormitory and the mass famine graves, while interpretative artworks, an animated film and information panels bring the past to life. Facilities include free car and bus parking and light refreshments, making the site suitable for school groups, tourists and community events alike.
