Its core activities include the compilation and digitisation of historic surveys such as the Hearth Money Records (1665-67), the Griffith Valuation (1850) and recorded graveyard data. In addition, the organisation curates extensive online resources on local history, notable personalities, significant places, the coal-mining legacy, ecclesiastical sites and accommodation options for tourists.
