Literature Ireland – officially IRELAND LITERATURE EXCHANGE IDIRMHALARTAN LITRIOCHT EIREANN COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE – is the national agency dedicated to promoting contemporary Irish literature on the world stage. By championing works in translation, the organisation builds international awareness and appreciation of Irish writers, both in English and Irish, and connects them with readers, translators and publishers abroad.

Its core programmes include a generous translation‑grant scheme that subsidises the cost of rendering Irish titles into any of the 58 languages already represented, a Literary Translation Residency in Galway, and the annual *New Writing from Ireland* catalogue showcasing over 2,500 books by 508 authors. In addition, Literature Ireland produces the *Blúiríní* video series, the *Talking Translations* podcast, and maintains a comprehensive Translation Directory documenting every grant‑supported work since 1995.
