LEARGAS - THE EXCHANGE BUREAU

Leargas - the Exchange Bureau is a specialist organisation that designs, manages and delivers national and international programmes in youth work, education and training. Drawing on the EU's flagship schemes - Erasmus+, the European Solidarity Corps and eTwinning - Leargas supports schools, further-education colleges, VET providers, sports clubs and community groups to develop cross-border projects, mobility opportunities and innovative teaching practices.

The bureau's portfolio includes a range of capacity-building events such as application clinics for Youth Exchanges, Cooperation Partnerships, DiscoverEU Inclusion and Sport Staff Mobility, helping participants navigate funding deadlines and maximise impact. In line with the European Year of Skills, Leargas showcases lifelong-learning stories, runs a Skills for Life competition and produces video case studies that illustrate how EU programmes enrich personal and professional development.

Through its annual flagship gathering, news updates and a vibrant mailing list, Leargas keeps educators, youth workers and volunteers informed about new funding calls, partnership opportunities and award-winning initiatives, fostering a collaborative network that spans Ireland and the wider European community.
