KERRY HOSPICE FOUNDATION

Kerry Hospice Foundation is a charitable organisation dedicated to delivering specialist palliative-care services throughout County Kerry. All funds raised locally remain in Kerry, directly supporting a mixed medical, social and supportive model of care that eases the physical, emotional and spiritual burden for patients and families facing life-limiting illness.

The foundation operates the Suiamheas Out-Patient Centre, a range of community services and an education programme, and it runs both a specialist-led Palliative Day-Care unit and an inpatient facility on the grounds of University Hospital Kerry. Opened in 2007 and expanded in 2017, these hubs bring together two palliative-care consultants, nursing specialists, allied health professionals-including occupational therapy, pharmacy and physiotherapy-and a dedicated support team. Ongoing fundraising can be made through iDonate, enabling individuals and groups to contribute directly to the service.
