Swords Historical Society Company Limited by Guarantee is a community-driven heritage organisation that preserves and celebrates the rich past of Swords and the wider Fingal area. Through the Swords Heritage Centre, the Society runs a small museum, a busy genealogy department and a programme of guided historical walks, offering locals, newcomers and overseas researchers a vivid insight into "old Swords".

Key activities include the production of the quarterly Swords Voices magazine, which blends personal recollections, historic photographs and scholarly articles, and the creation of archival video documentaries such as the popular "Rambles Through Swords". The Society also curates exhibitions, organises heritage-week events, and supports literary competitions that encourage the sharing of local stories and poetry. Its genealogy service assists families tracing Fingal roots, while talks and school work-experience placements help engage all ages with the town's educational and revolutionary history.
