Merchants Quay Company Limited by Guarantee (MQI) is a registered Irish charity dedicated to supporting people affected by homelessness and addiction. Through a compassionate, non‑judgemental approach, MQI provides a comprehensive suite of services—including hot meals, hot showers at the Riverbank Centre, food parcels, health‑care and GP appointments, mental‑health counselling, and specialist addiction support. The organisation also runs a Medically Supervised Injecting Facility, offering a safe, hygienic environment where trained health professionals can monitor drug use, reduce overdose risk and connect clients with treatment and social services.

Beyond direct assistance, MQI encourages community involvement through fundraising initiatives, corporate partnerships and tax‑efficient giving, and even offers the option to leave a legacy gift. Their impact is evident in the previous year’s figures: over 135,000 clients helped, more than 66,000 hot showers provided and 43,570 GP visits facilitated. By combining practical aid with hope‑inspiring programmes such as the Irish Life Dublin City Marathon team, MQI strives to give warmth, safety and a fresh start to those who need it most.
