The Social and Health Education Project (SHEP) is a Cork-based community education and development organisation that has been empowering individuals and neighbourhoods since 1974. Working in solidarity with partners, SHEP delivers a wide-range of training, advocacy and wellbeing services designed to foster social justice, sustainability and personal growth.

Key programmes include the SHEP Training Programme - offering short courses and a Foundation 1 qualification - and specialised projects such as the Advocacy Project, Green Spaces for Health, and Earth Aware, which promote environmental stewardship and community action. The organisation also provides free counselling through Coisceim and the multicultural LIB service for asylum seekers and refugees, as well as a horticulture course leading to a QQI Level 4 award. International collaboration is a core pillar, highlighted by a long-standing partnership with Nepal's Sahakarmi Samaj, while the SHEP Community Choir and participation in the Cork Equal and Sustainable Communities Alliance (CESCA) extend its cultural and civic reach.
