Independent Broadcasters of Ireland (IBI) is the national representative body for Ireland's independent radio sector. Established as a company limited by guarantee, IBI brings together a diverse range of commercial stations - from 98 FM and Highland Radio to C103, Radio Nova, Galway Bay FM and East Coast FM - to champion the interests of independent broadcasters and to promote a vibrant, pluralistic media landscape.

The organisation's work spans policy advocacy, research and industry support. IBI monitors legislative developments such as the 1988 Broadcasting Act and the Public Health (Alcohol) Act, produces briefing papers on elections, and drives sector-wide initiatives like the Inclusion and Diversity Strategy and pre-budget submissions. It also curates live and distributed events across Dublin, Cork and Galway, and publishes audience insights on topics ranging from breakfast-radio reach to the health benefits of listening.
