Company Description
Temple Bar Cultural Trust is a private‑limited, not‑for‑profit designated activity company dedicated to nurturing the vibrant cultural life of Dublin’s famed Temple Bar quarter. Funded entirely from its own property income, the Trust operates on a self‑reliant model, reinvesting every penny into the arts and heritage of the area. Its core mission is to safeguard and activate the district’s cultural assets, overseeing fourteen nationally important cultural buildings and four public spaces while delivering a year‑round programme of events, festivals and awards that engage artists, creators and audiences alike.
The Trust’s activities span a wide spectrum: from managing studio spaces for emerging artists and curating exhibitions, to organising the annual Short Film Award, the Handel Festival and the Diversions Festival, as well as innovative projects such as the “Figure Me Out” series. By partnering with local sponsors and fostering community involvement, Temple Bar Cultural Trust ensures that the cultural heartbeat of Temple Bar remains strong, accessible and continually evolving for residents and visitors alike.
