MULLINGAR EMPLOYMENT ACTION GROUP COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Mullingar Employment Action Group (MEAG) is a community-supported not-for-profit organisation founded in 1986 with the aim of tackling unemployment across the Mullingar region. By managing a network of enterprise incubation spaces, MEAG helps small and medium-sized enterprises to grow, currently housing 26 SMEs that directly sustain more than 200 jobs.

The group delivers a broad suite of services that blend business support with vocational training. Its Community Enterprise Centre offers 19 affordable units for start-ups, while the Enterprise, Technology & Innovation Centre (METIC) provides office and light industrial space. MEAG also runs the Uniform Boutique, supplying high-quality school uniforms, and Action Recycling, which collects and recycles glass and cardboard for local businesses. In partnership with national schemes, MEAG sponsors the Job Initiative, Community Employment and Community Service Programme, supporting around 50 participants in vocational education and training. Through European partnership projects and its Erasmus+ expertise, the organisation continually adopts best practice from across the continent, reinforcing Mullingar's reputation as a town of enterprise and initiative.
