Company Description
The National Ploughing Association of Ireland (NPA) is the charitable body that organises the iconic National Ploughing Championships, Ireland's premier agricultural showcase. Each September the NPA brings together thousands of farmers, exhibitors, families and visitors for a three-day celebration of ploughing skill, livestock excellence, machinery innovation and rural culture, most recently at Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
Beyond the headline ploughing contests, the NPA curates a diverse programme that includes the Certified Irish Angus Schools Competition, the Irish Simmental National Calf Finals, the National Brown Bread Baking competition, fashion shows, welly-throwing and a wide range of artisan and commercial stalls. By providing a well-managed venue, traffic coordination and a platform for sponsors and partners, the Association creates significant economic impact for Offaly and surrounding counties while fostering community spirit across the Irish farming sector.
Led by Managing Director Anna May McHugh, the NPA serves the whole of Ireland's agricultural community, delivering an event that blends tradition with cutting-edge technology and entertainment for all ages.
