Donegal Hospice Company Limited By Guarantee is a charitable organisation that provides free, specialist palliative care to individuals and families facing life-limiting illness across County Donegal. By adopting a holistic, whole-person approach, the hospice supports patients physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually, ensuring that both the person receiving care and their loved ones feel safe, comfortable and valued throughout the journey.

The hospice's core services include a purpose-built inpatient unit for short-term, expert symptom management and end-of-life care, as well as hospital-based support, community-based home care and a day-care programme (currently being refreshed). In addition, Donegal Hospice offers comprehensive patient-support services and bereavement support for families, all at no cost to the service user. Access is via referral from a qualified health professional, and the team operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to meet urgent needs.

Beyond direct care, the hospice encourages community involvement through volunteering, fundraising events and charitable initiatives, helping to sustain its vital services for those who need them most.
