GLANMIRE AREA COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

Glanmire Area Community Association (GACA) is a voluntary organisation founded in 1981 to champion improved community facilities for residents of the Glanmire area. Based in Riverstown, the association supports local voluntary groups, provides a hub for classes, events and activities, and offers up-to-date travel information for the community, including new bus timetables serving Glanmire, Riverstown and surrounding villages.

The GACA Centre, housed in the historic old schoolhouse, operates Monday to Friday from 9 am to 10 pm and is available on request at weekends. It hosts a diverse programme ranging from indoor and senior-focused sessions to youth projects, St John's initiatives and Tidy Towns activities. By acting as a liaison and advisory body, the association helps community groups secure resources, organise events and develop local amenities such as sports facilities and the secondary school.

Through its welcoming environment and dedicated volunteers, GACA continues to foster a vibrant, well-connected Glanmire community.
