THE CAT AND DOG PROTECTION ASSOCIATION OF IRELAND

The Cat and Dog Protection Association of Ireland (CDPA) is a Dublin-based charity dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals throughout the country. By working with a network of foster carers, volunteers and adopters, CDPA provides a full suite of services that help families and stray animals alike, from finding a "purr-fect" or "paw-fect" new home to offering ongoing support during the fostering process.

Key programmes include a low-cost spay and neuter scheme for cats, the monthly "Paw Hero" subscription that lets supporters contribute at any level, and a comprehensive Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) service for managing colonies. CDPA also runs specialised initiatives such as the Barn Kitty Programme, colony-feeding volunteers, and legacy-giving options for those who wish to leave a lasting impact. Adoption, fostering, media, transport and volunteer writing roles are all open, giving animal lovers many ways to get involved.

Through these efforts CDPA aims to reduce stray populations, rehome rescued dogs and cats, and create a kinder, safer environment for all four-legged friends across Ireland.
