Company Description
The C.A.R.I. Foundation (Children at Risk in Ireland) is a national charity dedicated to providing child-centred therapy and counselling for children and adolescents who have experienced sexual abuse. Established in 1989, CARI also works with younger children who display sexually harmful behaviour, helping them to understand and manage their actions in a safe, supportive environment.
Through its specialist centres in Limerick, Dublin and Wexford, CARI offers a range of services: therapeutic programmes for affected youngsters, tailored support for parents, carers and non-abusing family members, and guidance for professionals such as teachers and social workers. The organisation's recent southeast outreach service extends these provisions to counties Wexford, Waterford and Carlow, aiming to ensure that no child has to travel more than an hour for help.
Guided by a philosophy that respects each child's right to expression and resilience, CARI works to empower survivors to move beyond trauma and build lives defined by their own strengths and creativity.
