Company Description
Bray Family Resource & Development Project (BFRDP)
Founded in 1986 as a personal‑development course for local women, BFRDP has grown into a community‑run charity that supports people of all ages “from the cradle to the grave”. Operating from the Little Bray Resource Centre, the Ballywaltrim Resource Centre and the Little Bray Community Centre, the project offers a wide range of services and facilities, including a award‑winning creche, a Seniors Alert Scheme, youth projects, community‑employment initiatives and a variety of training rooms (sensory, computer, meeting and function spaces).
The organisation’s ethos is rooted in a rights‑based, inclusive approach that tackles inequality and discrimination, empowering individuals and groups to identify their own needs and develop local resources. BFRDP works in partnership with other agencies and welcomes anyone in the community to use its programmes, from childcare and early‑years support to adult learning, health‑promotion and social activities.
Its mission is to promote equality, fairness and empowerment for all community members, providing the support they need, when they need it.
