Company Description
The Society of Actuaries in Ireland is the professional body that represents and supports the actuarial profession across the island. Its core mission is to serve the public by promoting the highest standards of professionalism and competence in actuarial practice, while providing a vibrant community for actuaries at every stage of their career.
Members benefit from a comprehensive suite of services, including access to standards and regulation guidance, specialised qualifications such as the Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA), and a wealth of resources for students aspiring to become actuaries. The Society also runs regular events-such as the 2026 ERM Forum on people-risk management and AI risk assessment-and publishes news, press releases and research on topics ranging from gender gaps in mathematics to pension choice reforms. Through its "Find an Actuary" service and a range of member supports, the Society connects expertise with employers, regulators and the wider public.
By fostering continuous learning, encouraging thought-leadership, and championing ethical practice, the Society of Actuaries in Ireland plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of risk and financial decision-making throughout Ireland.
