THE EDMUND BURKE INSTITUTE

The Edmund Burke Institute is an independent, non-partisan educational charity dedicated to fostering a freer, richer Ireland through evidence-based policy research and public outreach. Drawing on private donations, the Institute - which does not accept funding from government or EU bodies - focuses on a range of liberty-centred issues, including free speech, affordable housing, drug-policy reform, inheritance tax and the relative safety of vaping.

Through its research programmes, the Institute produces policy briefs, hosts events and runs student initiatives that aim to inform politicians, journalists and emerging leaders. It also provides seed funding for grassroots campaigns, such as the Respect Vapers coalition, and runs petitions to influence public debate. All donations are channelled directly into research, education and outreach activities that promote informed discussion of ideas that could benefit Irish society.
