The Bere Island Projects Group CLG is a community-driven organisation that coordinates and supports a wide range of initiatives across Bere Island, a picturesque island at the entrance to Bantry Bay in West Cork. Acting as a hub for local activity, the Group works with volunteers and residents to promote tourism, protect the island's natural and archaeological heritage, and deliver essential services such as waste-management oversight and tidy-island projects.

Through its office next to the community centre, the Group facilitates a variety of programmes - from the Bere Island parkrun and weekly coffee mornings for the Active Retirement Group, to the Men's Shed, the After-School Club and the Bere Island Tourism & Environment Group. It also helps organise heritage tours, guided walks, and sporting events, ensuring that both locals and visitors can enjoy the island's walking trails, cycling routes, watersports and historic sites.

By fostering collaboration among residents, schools, and visitor-focused enterprises, the Bere Island Projects Group sustains the island's vibrant community spirit while safeguarding its unique landscape and cultural legacy.
