Company Description
The James Joyce Cultural Centre is an educational charity, museum and cultural hub dedicated to celebrating the life, literature and enduring legacy of one of the world’s greatest writers. Based in a beautifully restored Georgian townhouse in Dublin’s North Inner City, the centre offers a rich programme that brings Joyce’s work to life for scholars, students and casual visitors alike.
Its core activities include guided walking tours of “Joyce’s Dublin”, a calendar of art exhibitions – from Suzanne Freeman’s *Ulysses: An Odyssey* to Nickie Hayden’s *Bloom, Haiku, and the Turning of Peace* – and a series of performances and concerts such as Val O’Donnell’s *18 More Ballads after Ulysses*. The centre also runs workshops, lectures, and an online course on Irish stage and screen, plus innovative projects like the *Modality of the Visible: Ulysses VR* experience. Through these diverse offerings, the James Joyce Cultural Centre provides an accessible gateway to Joyce’s world for anyone with a curiosity for literature, art and Irish cultural heritage.
