IPU SERVICES LIMITED

Ipu Services Limited is the professional representative organisation for community pharmacists in Ireland. With a membership of roughly 2,200 pharmacists working in more than 1,800 community pharmacies nationwide, the IPU champions the interests of its members while promoting the highest standards of patient care across the country.

The IPU delivers a comprehensive suite of services, including the IPU Professional Academy's continuing-education courses for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, the annual IPU Review magazine, and a dedicated job platform for the sector. It also runs the innovative Safe Pharmacy initiative, which equips community pharmacies with a phone and local support-service contacts to help people experiencing domestic abuse. In addition, the organisation conducts research such as the Pharmacy Usage & Attitudes Survey, provides the NHPC catalogue of product information, and organises national conferences and webinars. By combining advocacy, education and community-focused programmes, the IPU supports pharmacists in delivering safe, accessible healthcare to the Irish public.
