THE 1916 - 1921 CLUB COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE

The 1916-1921 Club is an all-Ireland society dedicated to commemorating the sacrifices made during Ireland's revolutionary period and to promoting the cause of Irish national independence in contemporary life. Established in the 1940s as a bridge to heal the divisions left by the Civil War, the Club welcomed members from both sides of the conflict and later incorporated the Old Dublin Brigade Óglaigh na hÉireann in the 1980s, extending membership to survivors of the War of Independence.

Open to any Irish citizen who embraces its objectives and accepts the charter documents, the Club organises a programme of commemorative events, lectures and special gatherings - including annual Casement and Arbour Hill commemorations and scholarly talks on the Treaty. Members provide essential funding and, in return, enjoy benefits such as free tickets to events and a dedicated newsletter.

With a nationwide reach, the 1916-1921 Club continues to foster remembrance, education and a shared sense of purpose across the island.
