Waterford Youth Industries Company Limited By Guarantee, operating as the Waterford Youth Training and Education Centre (WYTEC), has been empowering early school leavers in Waterford city and county since 1984. With more than 3,000 learners benefitting from its programmes, the centre is firmly embedded in the local community and is widely appreciated for its people-focused approach.

WYTEC delivers a suite of nationally recognised QQI courses designed to equip participants with practical, employable skills. Offerings include Level 4 major awards in Retail Skills, Construction-Studies (Pathway to Employment) and Office Administration, as well as Level 3 awards in Hospitality, Catering & Culinary Skills and broader employability. The centre also runs a Linked Work Experience programme that provides hands-on placement and job-search support, helping learners transition smoothly into the workplace.
