The Liffey Trust Company Limited By Guarantee is a Dublin-based charitable organisation that has been nurturing Irish start-ups for more than three decades. Founded in 1984 with the aim of helping aspiring entrepreneurs and community groups become established, the Trust has supported over 200 businesses and created more than 1,000 jobs across the country.

The Trust offers a comprehensive, free-of-charge suite of start-up services, including the preparation of business plans, feasibility studies and grant applications, advice on finance-raising, and guidance on setting up accounting, VAT, PAYE and PRSI systems. New ventures also receive a year of management and marketing consultancy, assistance with legal structuring, and access to reduced-rent workspaces - from office suites to retail, commercial and fully-equipped food-production kitchens. The on-site Food Hub houses ten purpose-built kitchens that host a range of Dublin's leading catering and food-service businesses.

In addition to its enterprise support, the Liffey Trust runs the Dr Séamus McDermott Scholarship for Entrepreneurship, promoting job creation and entrepreneurial education among undergraduate students at University College Dublin and other partner institutions. Through these initiatives, the Trust continues to be a vital catalyst for innovation and growth throughout Ireland.
